What is Reiki?
Rei = Spiritual Wisdom.
Ki = Life Energy.
Reiki originated in Japan in 1922 as form of alternative medicine called “energy healing”. Reiki practitioners use various techniques such as palm healing through which energy from the universe is transferred through the palms of the practitioner to the client to encourage emotional or physical healing.

Reiki energy allows muscles to relax and increases blood flow to treated areas, which in turn quickens the healing process. Practitioners and clients report help with stress, headaches, insomnia, upset stomach, sprains and other minor conditions. How does Reiki Heal?
Energy flows in the physical body through pathways called Chakras or meridians, and can be present while passing directly through the organs and tissues of the body. It also flows around us in a field of energy called the aura. The free and balanced flow of healthy energy is the cause of well being. When the flow of healthy energy is disrupted, it causes decrease functioning within the organs and tissues of the physical body.
